Infant Enrolment


Infant Enrolment week will take place on Monday 16th, Tuesday 17th & Thursday 19th January from 8.45am – 9.30am.  Also Monday 16th – Friday 20th from 11.15am – 12.15pm and 1.30pm – 2.30pm.

Children who become 5 years of age between 1st March 2018 and the end of February 2019 should be registered for school during that week.

If you know of any families, neighbours or friends in the local area who have children who may be eligible for school I would be grateful if you could please pass this information to them. Information about enrolment will be in the local press and available in libraries.

Parents/Guardians should check which school is their catchment school and arrange to register their children. If any parents are in doubt please contact the school or Education Support Services helpline on 01698 454102.  The school holds information regarding arrangements for all East Kilbride/Strathaven schools.  Information on S.L.C. schools is also available on the website –

It is only the parents/guardians with whom the child ordinarily resides who are authorised to register their child to start school. Each child’s full birth certificate must be produced as well as two pieces of official documentation both containing the parent/guardian’s permanent home address to clarify proof of residency (e.g. utility bill, council tax statement, housing rent card, child benefit documentation).  Additional proof of residency of the child may be required.

”Parent” includes guardian and any person who is liable to maintain or has parental responsibilities (within the meaning of section 1(3) of the Children (Scotland) Act 1995 in relation to, or has care of a child.
