Parents/Guardians should check which school is their catchment school and arrange to register their children. If any parents are in doubt please contact the school or Education Support Services helpline on 01698 454102. The school holds information regarding arrangements for all East Kilbride/Strathaven schools. Information on S.L.C. schools is also available on the website – www.southlanarkshire.gov.uk
It is only the parents/guardians with whom the child ordinarily resides who are authorised to register their child to start school. Each child’s full birth certificate must be produced as well as two pieces of official documentation both containing the parent/guardian’s permanent home address to clarify proof of residency (e.g. utility bill, council tax statement, housing rent card, child benefit documentation). Additional proof of residency of the child may be required.
”Parent” includes guardian and any person who is liable to maintain or has parental responsibilities (within the meaning of section 1(3) of the Children (Scotland) Act 1995 in relation to, or has care of a child.
